Carol Barger has been wandering, field sketching and painting since early childhood. Mainly a self-taught naturalist, field sketch artist and watercolorist, she has also studied illustration, fine arts  and design at the Maryland and Cleveland Institutes of Art, creative writing at University of Maryland, and product design and innovation at University of California and Cornell University Samuel Johnson Graduate School of Management.
